Management Accountant - Central Reporting

DSFS Ltd are seeking to recruit a successful candidate into the position of Management Accountant. The role will support our central reporting function working closely with the Head of Financial Management. Building good working relationships with Divisional colleagues will be important to help population of required reports
The post holder will be a key member of the finance team with responsibility for ensuring all processes and procedures are in place to provide the Trust and RPC with relevant, accurate and timely management information concerning financial performance to support with financial viability and achievement of targets.
Please note this is a hybrid working role, with the requirement of on-site presence at the DSFS Finance Department, located at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. For full time posts this is a minimum of 3 says on-site and 2 days working from home each week.The role is advertised as full time permanent, however, we are open to conversations around other flexible options.

Main duties of the job
See detailed JD but some key duties include:
Provide financial support to the contracting process with NHS partner organisations.
Provide analysis and modelling work required in the production of the Trust’s financial plan.
Produce and maintain the Trust financial planning templates.
Coordinate the monthly financial reporting process to ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are achieved.
Produce routine financial analysis to support the understanding and explanation of the Trust’s financial performance.
Produce financial reports for the Trust’s financial governance committees and boards.
Populate and submit external financial reports, including monthly Provider Financial Return and Derbyshire System returns.
Maintain a record of Trust reserves and manage in-year reserve allocations.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria- Part-qualified accountant or significant relevant accounting experience
- Significant experience in a financial management role.
- Evidence of on-going professional or personal development; e.g. Continuing Professional Development
- • Degree or Masters
- • Evidence of leadership development
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience at a senior level in a complex financial environment.
- Management Accounting Experience.
- Experience of working effectively in a team
- Track record of financial and non- financial achievements
- Staff management experience
- NHS provider or commissioner experience
- Experience of working with a Patient Level Information Costing System.
- NHS Contracting experience.
Skills and Knowledge
