Role Responsibilities:
- Support Students with Behavioral Needs: Work one-on-one or in small groups to help students understand and manage their emotions and behaviour.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Assist teachers in fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom where all students feel supported.
- Encourage Positive Choices: Use proven strategies and interventions to help students make positive behaviour choices and stay engaged in their learning.
- Collaborate with Teachers and SEN Teams: Work closely with school staff to implement behaviour plans, share progress, and adapt strategies to meet each child’s unique needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience Working with Children: Previous experience in education, behaviour support, social work, or youth work is ideal, but we welcome individuals who are passionate and committed.
- Empathy & Patience: You have a calm, understanding approach, with the resilience to support students facing personal and emotional challenges.
- Strong Communication Skills: You’re able to build trusting relationships with students, teachers, and families to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS Check: You must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service.
