Job Description

The successful Interim Project Manager will be responsible for project managing the divestment (carve out) of one of their plants and their supporting regional team in the Operations and Maintenance 'O&M' organisation. The Steering Group will comprise of IT, Finance, HR and operational senior managers.These deliverables will include:

  • Setting up the project workstreams, workstream membership and deliverables of each
  • Building and managing the Transition Project Plan
  • Agreeing project milestones and timescales with the steering group and buyer
  • Agreeing and managing the budget
  • Keeping senior stakeholder informed of progress and status
  • Identifying and tracking risks and issues
  • Coordinating with the buyer side project manager
  • Coordinating Reporting to the SteerCo
  • Ensuring the project is delivered by the agreed handover date

Previous knowledge and experience of carve out / business separation, project management, senior stakeholder management, and a high level working knowledge of Finance, IT, HR processes. Energy industry knowledge is desired but not essential.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Project Manager should have:

  • Experience in project management, preferably within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
