Are you a Band 8a GP Lead Practice Pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role in Essex? We have an exciting opportunity for you!- Job Title: GP Lead Practice Pharmacist (Band 8a)

What You'll Be Doing:
Join our client's team as a GP Lead Practice Pharmacist and take the lead on managing long-term conditions in a primary care setting. In this role, you will:
- Run clinical review clinics focused on asthma, COPD, hypertension, and mental health
- Prescribe independently and optimise patient outcomes through personalised medication reviews
- Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and other primary care professionals
- Deliver high-quality care aligned with national guidelines
- Keep accurate clinical documentation and support QOF-related activity
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current GPhC registration as a pharmacist
- Independent Prescriber status
- Experience working in a primary care pharmacy setting
- Confidence running clinics and managing long-term conditions
- Completion of or enrolment on the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (ideal)
- Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering ongoing locum work with the possibility of remote elements. Flexibility and long-term potential for the right candidate.
