Your new role

Our client is expanding their team and seeking a Structural Engineer for their Belfast office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create practical and cost-efficient structural designs using timber, concrete, masonry, and steel.
  • Ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality project completion.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of design experience with a consulting structural engineering firm in the UK or Ireland.
  • Preferably, have experience in heavy civil, renovation and restoration.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel as a Structural Engineer, you need a degree in Structural Engineering or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in the UK or Ireland. Membership in a relevant professional institution is required. You should possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of engineering principles, with experience in designing according to NI/UK & Eurocodes, NI/UK & Irish Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Technical Standards.

Proficiency in engineering design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, AutoCAD, and Revit is crucial. Additionally, excellent planning, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
