Teacher of Maths (Full or Part-time, Fixed Term Contract, Sept 2025 start) - Norwich
Langley Senior School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Maths teacher to join our department from 1st September 2025.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious individual who will contribute to development of our excellent department in delivering a stimulating and well balanced academic and co-curricular programme for our pupils.
Our lower school curriculum is challenging, rigorous and engaging, offering pupils in Years 6 to 8 the chance to engage in a broad range of concepts designed to develop their knowledge and skills in all areas of maths.
We utilise the White Rose Maths curriculum to further strengthen our provision in the lower school. In Year 9, pupils study for the Edexcel Awards in Number and/or Algebra, which gives an authentic exam experience and helps to focus pupils’ learning.
In addition to GCSE Maths in Year 10 and 11, GCSE Further Maths is offered for pupils who are excelling. Pupils go on to study A Level Maths, with at least one A Level class running every year. Further Maths A Level is also offered subject to demand.Pupils at all ages are offered the opportunity to participate in the UK Maths Challenge, and we also offer a well-attended weekly Maths Scholars club at lunchtime.
Langley is a truly special place to work. With dedicated colleagues, a supportive parent body, and curious, motivated pupils, our school community is both stimulating and welcoming. We take great pride in our sense of family and the strong sense of belonging that unites us.
All teachers at the school are form tutors and play an important role in the pastoral life of a thriving independent school
