Deputy General Manager for Independent Sector and ENT Specialty

The Deputy General Manager role is pivotal to the leadership and management of the ENT specialty, the recovery and transformation of our Trust's elective services, together with the on-going planning and delivery of the Trust's Independent Sector activity.
This is a new dual role post created for a fixed term of 12 months, but may also suit a Secondment opportunity for an internal candidate.
The post holder will be responsible for the on-going planning, implementation, assurance and delivery of patients being transferred to Independent and Provider sites for treatment. The post holder will lead, alongside the Independent Sector Head of Operations, ensuring the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board has full sight of and assurance over the delivery of Independent Sector activity.The Deputy General Manager will also provide senior managerial support to the Head of Operations for the ENT Specialty. This includes working closely with the nursing and clinical teams to ensure the services are managed in an efficient and safe manner.
The post holder is directly responsible for the operational teams and will support the clinical teams to deliver the quality and safety agenda.The post holder is responsible for the service delivery plans including assisting with the annual service/business planning and will ensure quality services are developed and maintained.
