What are your responsibilities.....- Collaborate with the Planning Manager to create effective plans for each warehouse shift.
- Analyse historical data and project future resource needs.
- Review resource requirements and make recommendations based on forecast adjustments, absences, customer requirements, and seasonal peaks.
- Monitor daily variances to ensure accurate resource requirements are met daily and weekly, adjusting as needed.
- Provide the Planning Manager with daily/weekly KPI and performance reports to drive continual improvement throughout the warehouse.
- Monitor downtime and performance using onsite tools.
- Oversee daily and weekly agency requirements, weekly hours reconciliation, and updates around FTE.
- Support the Planning Manager with necessary data for meetings.
- Understand all internal processes specific to your role and suggest areas for development within the resource planning team.
- Operate the performance management tool in conjunction with the planning tool.
- Support and drive innovation within the resource planning department.
- Act as a liaison between departments across the site to ensure consistent information flow.
- Offer support to teams across the network to advance resource planning.
- Assist the Planning Manager in managing the local on-site team.
- Cover tasks across departments as required.
- Well-organised and analytical with a solid understanding of warehouse operations principles.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfortable leading and motivating a team.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to influence and persuade others.
- Confident problem solver.
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
