Our client is a multinational pharmaceutical company specialising in generic and branded drugs. They have been around for 120 years and have a global network of approximately 37,000 employees across 58 markets.

The business are evolving so are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join a small but mighty team.

Job Description

You will be:

• Acting as legal lead on areas of responsibilities and legal partner to the commercial business providing legal input into strategy, risk assessment and commercialisation.
• Partnering with the Business Innovation team to successfully launch innovative products and biosimilars.
• Liaising with other teams to ensure compliance.
• Supporting the business on complex negotiating and contracting across the supply chain and customers.
• Partnering across the UK & Ireland business units to provide ad-hoc and strategic commercially viable and pragmatic legal advice.
• Training and guiding junior team members on projects and contracts and managing relationships with external counsels.
• The legal lead for Data, Digitisation & Privacy.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Legal Counsel will:

• Be 4-7 years PQE with experience within Healthcare / Pharmaceuticals, and in particular new product launches.
• Have experience of operating in an in-house function with proven commercial acumen and business partnering experience.
• Be very commercial and ambitious.
