Shift Manager
If you have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement, this is the opportunity for you.
Location:Liverpool
Salary: 60-63k per annumType: FTC contract, initially 3-6 months, potentially going on perm
Responsibilities:
- Manage shift resources and prioritise production requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Act as a focal point for emergency situations.
- Investigate customer complaints and work with the team to improve standards.
- Develop and update SOPs.
- Provide long-term shift cover and short-term cover for shipping gaps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process and equipment issues.
- Support other functions across the site when needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong safety, quality, and environmental culture.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work as part of a team or independently.
- IT skills, including experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- HNC level education or equivalent.
Desirable experience:
- Food manufacturing in a continuous process.
- Lean manufacturing skills.
- Industry knowledge would be advantageous
- Scissor lift trained and forklift experience.
- Shipping experience and banksman trained.
- Production line experience.
- Chemical process manufacturing.
