The Workforce project lead role for the GM Physiological science and Endoscopy network is an exciting and new opportunity to help support the physiological science and endoscopy workforce in GM in their development by creating a clear strategy and implementation plan to address workforce challenges and create a workforce sustainable for the future.

The post holder will work closely with service leads, clinical leads and operational managers to identify the training needs of the services and to support development of plans to address the training needs.

To support the GM Diagnostic Network in developing workforce strategy and implementation plan for Physiological science and endoscopy network.

To coordinate and collaborate with stakeholder within the physiological science and endoscopy network to address long term workforce needs.

The post holder will work closely with the GM Diagnostic Workforce Development lead to identify opportunities for collaborative learning across the GM Diagnostic Network, with a focus on physiologist and endoscopy staff development.

The post holder will be expected undertake in depth workforce analysis of the physiological science and endoscopy workforce and identify strategic objectives to inform the wider GM Diagnostic workforce strategy. Once the strategy is developed, the post holder will be responsible for its implementation and leading on priority areas of work that have been identified.

The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the long-term workforce planning of the physiological science and endoscopy workforce and in collaboration with the diagnostic workforce lead ensuring engagement with NHS England colleagues and relevant Endoscopy academy colleagues to identify funding requirements and ensure equitable access to available development funding.

The post holder will be responsible for attending various meetings as part of the Diagnostic network governance meeting to drive forward the workforce agenda within the physiological science and endoscopy network. There will also be the need for hosting collaborative workshops and stakeholder event, the post holder will be responsible for the co-design and delivery of these events.
