As part of our continued expansion, we are excited to commission a 54-bedded, purpose-built luxury facility, Glencorse Care Home, in Penicuik. We are seeking an inspirational and experienced Home Manager to lead this service from day one.
Commissioning Home Manager Contract- Salary: £65,000 per annum

Role Overview - Commissioning Home Manager
As the Commissioning Home Manager for Glencorse Care Home, you will play a pivotal role in the successful launch and ongoing management of this luxury care home. From driving occupancy and building a dedicated team to ensuring regulatory compliance and financial performance, your leadership will be key to establishing this service as a leading care facility in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Occupancy Building: Develop and execute strategies to drive occupancy from the ground up.
- Team Recruitment: Create and manage a recruitment strategy, phasing the recruitment drive to minimise reliance on agency staff and build a strong, cohesive team.
- Financial Management: Ensure profit and loss aligns with the set budget, overseeing financial performance to achieve business objectives.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with business governance, risk management, and operational processes, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety Regulations.
- Registration: Lead the registration of the service with Local Authorities, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- HR Functions: Establish robust HR functions, including performance management, inductions, and training programs to support team development.
- Marketing & Reputation: Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance the reputation and visibility.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Registered Home Manager with a proven track record of delivering outstanding KPI results in an elderly care setting. While a clinical qualification is preferred, it is not essential; we value leadership excellence and the ability to inspire and guide a team.Strong commercial acumen and in-depth knowledge of Care Inspectorate and Local Authority requirements are crucial.
