About the role

Balfour Beatty is excited to invite applications for the role of Site Engineer within our esteemed Ground Engineering team, specifically focusing on the SSI Crossing structure at Sizewell C.

This position is based in London, with travel across the UK, offering a unique chance to be part of a high-profile project.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in monitoring site performance and costs, ensuring the accurate execution of pile designs, and preparing quality assurance packs for our client.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating planned works with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing comprehensive site documentation
  • On complex or large projects attend site as required and directed by the project manager or senior contracts.
  • Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with specifications and deliverables.
  • Report and manage the close out of any non-conformities that may arise.
  • Recording all changes to project deliverables with the customer ensuring involvement with the commercial department.
  • Ensuring that all the project delivery team comply with the SB3 Business Management System through support and audit.

Who we're looking for

What we are looking for:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Relevant experience in practical engineering or technical roles, particularly in civils or marine civils.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience working for a piling, ground engineering, or civils subcontractor.
  • A valid CSCS card
