Hours: 21 hours per week across 4-5 days, Starting time of 09:00am daily

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Operational Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to a Grade 6 Head of Team on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering efficient and professional support within a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Grade 6 Head of Team
  • Arrange regular and ad-hoc meetings
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person team meetings, including:
  • scheduling meetings
  • collating agenda items and inputs
  • drafting agendas
  • capturing and circulating actions and decisions
  • following up on outstanding actions
  • Manage the Head of Team's inbox and diary
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and logistics for meetings, events, and training
  • Process travel amendments, refunds, and re-booking's where required
  • Maintain and update corporate information on a quarterly basis
  • Support recruitment and on boarding activities
  • Raise purchase orders and follow up on invoice

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident managing diaries, meetings, and competing priorities
  • Able to work independently and use initiative effectively
  • A strong communicator with excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in an administrative or business support role

Previous Civil Service experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
