An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Data Quality Team as a Data Quality Assistant. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data. The Data Quality Team is responsible for implementing robust processes to guarantee high levels of accuracy in data capture, assignment, and validation.
As a Data Quality Assistant, you will be at the forefront of validation efforts, including tasks such as waiting list validation and reviewing SMS text responses. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that our waiting lists remain current and accurate.
The Data Quality Team operates within a broader department that includes the Contact Centre and Patient Access Team. Our team comprises Data Quality Assistants and Facilitators, all working closely together to enhance the quality of data across a range of digital systems used within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
This role will be integral to supporting the Data Quality Team in working with services to ‘get it right first time’ (informed data entry). As a Data Quality Assistant you will be working in clinical systems to identify, process and correct data quality issues.You will work with the data quality facilitators to implement processes to ensure that data is recorded accurately by clinical and administrative teams.
Tasks will include waiting list validation and reviewing SMS text responses. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that our waiting lists remain current and accurate.
As a member of the Data Quality Team, you will also be providing advice and guidance to managers and clinical teams across the Trust on data quality or escalating up to the data quality facilitators.

Please note the cost of the DBS check is increasing from 2^nd December and the new cost will be
Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- GCSE’s including English and Maths
- Knowledge acquired through practical experience or qualification such as basic level of Certificate of Technical Competence (IHRIM), HNC in Business administration or equivalent
- ECDL or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of working with in a health or social care records or information management environment
- Experience of using electronic patient record systems
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Knowledge of records management and the NHS Records Management Code of Practice
- Knowledge of paper and electronic patient record systems and patient administration systems
