Your new role
As a member of the Production Team, you will have full responsibility for managing operations and staff to meet company objectives and key performance indicators. You will lead, manage, and motivate a team of operatives in line with company strategy and business plans, including performance management, team development, and succession planning.You will identify and implement performance measures aligned with overall business strategy, driving the department's performance through monitoring downtime and conducting root cause analysis of problems. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing relevant sections of BRC & Customer food quality standards, ensuring all procedures are documented and regularly audited for compliance.
You will develop annual department goals and create implementation plans to achieve agreed targets. Moreover, you will assist in conducting routine health and safety audits, improvement walks, accident/incident investigations, and training to keep the site compliant with health and safety legislation.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will need a minimum of three years' experience in a team leader or supervisory position, as well as previous experience with BRC audits. A solid understanding of current health and safety legislation is essential, along with the ability to control costs and work within a defined budget.High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records are crucial. Preference will be given to those with a food qualification and an IOSH qualification. Your ability to manage and motivate a team, coupled with strong organisational and communication skills, will be key to your success in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.
