We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Consultant team.
The main responsibilities of this role include providing high-quality diagnostic clinical reports, advice, and opinions on patients referred to our service. It is crucial to be proactive in supporting pathways that guarantee rapid assessment, treatment, and clinical decision-making for all patients.
Additionally, it is essential to ensure that our standards for delivering safe quality and performance are consistently met and maintained. The role also involves providing Consultant-led care to patients, including clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff.
It is imperative you uphold the highest standards of clinical care for all patients attending the hospital for diagnostic and radiology procedures. Please note that we will only consider applicants with strong skills in general and breast radiology.

There is a well-established Radiology Department, currently consisting of 19.5 WTE substantive consultants. his is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of a dynamic Department within a forward-looking secondary care Foundation Trust.This post will support Radiology in meeting the needs of the local population.
Torbay Hospital provides acute care for the local community and has several community hospitals, and is a hot-spot for those who are considering living by the sea or within half an hour of Dartmoor National Park and an hour to Exmoor National Park.Meanwhile, Plymouth and Exeter are also both within a short drive to enjoy the culture, maritime history and shopping experiences.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Full GMC Registration (with licence to practice).
- CCT Specialist Registration or will obtain within 6 months of interview date. CESR.
- Minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent), IELTS or graduate of a UK Medical School.
- Distinctions, scholarships, prizes.
- Other degrees, e.g. BSc, MSc, MD.
- At least five years in specialist registrar training scheme.
Clinical Experience
Essential criteria- Ability to offer expert clinical and diagnostic opinion on a range of problems.
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
- Ability to prioritise clinical need.
- Ability to supervise multi-disciplinary teams.
- Evidence of experience appropriate to stated specialist interest.
