We are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Assistant to join a leading company with a great reputation and over 50 years experience in providing quality products to the construction industry in Bridgend.

This is a great opportunity to join as a Trade Counter Assistant as the company continue to thrive and this role will come with excellent ongoing training and the opportunity to progress as your experience grows.

As Trade Counter Assistant you will:

• Assist customers in fulfilling their needs both physically at the trade counter, or virtually via our website, utilising both phone and email
• Build relationships with customers through excellent customer service, understanding requirements and ensuring that the correct products are selected; as a result, securing on-going business.
• Raise invoices, process orders and take payments in a timely manner
• Maximise every opportunity to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
• Keep the trade counter/showroom tidy and re-stocked at all times
• Help with additional duties such as re-stocking parts of the warehouse and helping with organising deliveries to the branch, checking items in and ensuring they are both correct and in good condition, highlighting and raising any issues immediately
• Complete any or all administration duties as requested

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
• Excellent customer service and customer facing skills to work alongside customers on and off site.

• Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
• Every other Saturday 8.30am - 12
