Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-15:30

Pay: Minimum £12.90 per hour

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join our team.

About the role:

As a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting both pupils and teaching staff, enhancing the overall learning experience. You will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, aiding students in their academic pursuits, and promoting the use of the Welsh language throughout the school.

Although having experience working with children is desirable, it is not required in order to be successful when applying for this role. Here at Teaching Personnel, we are dedicated to moulding our candidates into brilliant school staff, which is why we offer a range of courses for you to attend.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Assist pupils with their learning needs, ensuring they understand the material
  • Encourage and promote the use of the Welsh language among students
  • Help create an inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and positive learning environment

Job requirements:

  • Fluency in Welsh (both spoken and written)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we can help you obtain this)
  • To be registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
  • Two professional references covering 24 months
  • Level 2 Safeguarding (provided by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
