Duties in the Community Substance Misuse Nurse role include: Conduct comprehensive assessments and create recovery-focused care plans Deliver clinical interventions with a specialist focus on substance misuse services Administer and monitor prescribed medications, providing guidance on safe use Maintain therapeutic relationships and promote independence and recovery Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Ensure care delivery meets professional and organizational standards Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Essential criteria to apply Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN Band 6 or equivalent experience preferred Strong clinical knowledge of substance misuse, mental health, and recovery models Desirable Criteria Post-registration specialist qualification in mental health or substance misuse Knowledge of OST/methadone pathways and NICE guidance Experience in commissioning, service development, or health/social care partnerships Apply now or contact Dale, for more info.
