About the Role:As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is ideal for experienced educators, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with a strong passion for science education.
Responsibilities:
- Effective Teaching: Assist students to learn effectively, develop personally, and achieve their individual potential through consistent adherence to the school’s aims and policies.
- Curriculum Delivery: Implement and engage pupils in a broad, balanced, relevant, and ambitious curriculum accessible to all students.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Contribute to the school’s provision of extra-curricular activities, enriching students' educational experiences.
- Student Development: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor.
- Raising Standards: Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and ensure value is added within the school context.
- Professional Growth: Engage in opportunities provided by the school for personal and academic growth.
- Professional Duties: Carry out professional duties as detailed in the Conditions of Service.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, for experienced teachers.
- ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required.
