Child Care Worker
  • Salary Range: £24,909 - £27,317

  • Job Type: Full-time (Day and Night Shifts Available)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to join our residential setting, which provides a secure and nurturing environment for young people of all ages and abilities. This role is crucial in offering the positive experiences and therapeutic support needed by those in residential care.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide care and support to young people, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality residential care.
  • Engage with young people to support their individual needs and contribute to their personal development.
  • Respond empathetically to challenging behaviours, maintaining a calm and supportive approach.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of care plans and therapeutic interventions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in residential care or equivalent services.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent.
  • An empathetic and understanding approach to care, particularly when dealing with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
