Day Rate: £160 - £180 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Description:
Are you an enthusiastic and committed KS1 teacher ready to inspire and nurture young learners? A welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a Key Stage 1 Class Teacher from September 2025 to lead a class and contribute to the wider school community.You’ll be part of a vibrant, supportive team focused on delivering a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum.
This role would suit an organised and reflective professional who is passionate about pupil development, confident in managing a classroom and experienced in collaborating with colleagues, parents and external agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Create a purposeful, caring and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress regularly.
- Maintain discipline and safeguard the wellbeing of all pupils.
- Coordinate a core subject and contribute to whole-school development.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff and external agencies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with KS1 teaching experience.
- Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to plan for all abilities.
- A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and high standards of pupil welfare.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
- Reflective, proactive and enthusiastic about continued professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
