HR Policy and Projects Advisor (Projects Lead)

Overview:
London Borough of Harrow has a great opportunity for a HR Policy and Projects Advisor (Projects Lead).
The postholder is responsible for leading the implementation and coordination of the organisation's HR projects. You will conduct thorough research analysis of HR trends, practices, and benchmarks to inform the development of HR projects. As the subject matter expert, you will manage a portfolio of HR projects and strategies, staying up to date with the latest policy changes and providing expert advice and guidance to senior managers on complex HR policy and strategy matters.You will engage and consult with stakeholders on policy implementation and maintain a thorough understanding of policy issues and the needs of the organisation through effective business engagement. Collaboration with key stakeholders is crucial in this role, as you will be involved in decision-making and the implementation of strategic HR initiatives.
You will lead and support cross-functional HR projects and initiatives to drive organisational change and continuous improvement.
This role requires the flexibility to work hours as required for the needs of the role.
About you:
The successul candidate will have:
- Proven experience in policy development and implementation, particularly in sensitive areas.
- Experience of successfully managing employee relations issues in a timely and consistent way in a large organisation
- Strong knowledge of employment law relating to drug and alcohol policies and testing
- An exceptional communicator able to operate and empathise with stakeholders and senior managers, influencing and gaining commitment to objectives and deadlines.
- Ability to lead on multiple and wide-ranging programmes and manage competing demands.
- Knowledge, awareness and understanding of the public sector, including understanding the key drivers for change
- Degree and/or CIPD or equivalent professional body qualified or relevant work experience.
