Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to support teachers in delivering high-quality education and ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the classroom, assisting in creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for their students.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
- Classroom Support: Assist the teacher in delivering lessons, working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
- Prepare Learning Materials: Help prepare teaching materials, resources, and displays to enhance student learning.
- Behavior Management: Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, managing behavior and promoting student engagement.
- Assist with Assessments: Support the teacher with assessments, tracking student progress, and providing feedback on student work.
- Pastoral Support: Provide emotional and social support for students, helping them develop confidence and well-being in the classroom.
- Liaise with Parents and Staff: Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to ensure that the needs of the students are met, and support communication with parents when necessary.
What you need for this Teaching Assistant position:
- Educational Requirements: A recognised qualification in child care or education (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
- Patience & Empathy: A caring and patient approach to working with children, with the ability to manage diverse needs and support students of varying abilities.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team, supporting both the teacher and other teaching assistants.
- DBS Check: A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
