What skills and experience we're looking for
The Ruth Gorse Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Director of English. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy - the successful applicant will be expected to lead and develop the English department, improving the outcomes for students.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to achieve their potential in this exciting and rapidly evolving subject.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Good honours degree in relevant subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Successful record of teaching English including very strong results in public examinations.
