Trainee Environmental Technician
Enitial (a division of Cawood Scientific) currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Technician working within our Field Services Team. This role will conduct routine monitoring cross-functionally across Enitial services and activities, primarily on open and closed landfill, pre-construction and utilities.
The role requires daily travel to sites across the region and outdoor working. Often working autonomously, the ideal candidate will take responsibility for managing their own hours, working flexibly to ensure all work requirements are completed fully.
Due to the nature of the role, a company vehicle will be provided. Candidates must hold a full UK driving license to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine environmental monitoring across our three service areas of
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of environmental control systems
- Provide a reliable, efficient, and professional level of service to our clients.
- Liaise with clients on-site building a level of trust that leads to dependable, long
- Maintain Enitial’s credibility by being the face of Enitial in the field and always
- Respect company equipment and vehicles ensuring routine calibrations and
- Work as a team within regions building and maintaining morale and actively
- Report any deviations from methods or non-conformances through to Area
integrity or data gaps.
- Manage time efficiently, reviewing own schedules and reporting through to the
effectively.
- Manage data accurately and in line with client / company requirements. Report
- Responsible for keeping safety at the forefront of field works and being
straightaway to the Area Managers and client in line with our company
accreditation and policy.
- Always compliant with the ‘Stay Safe’ remote working application when
- Liaise with laboratories and couriers ensuring samples taken in the field are
- Assist with on-site training of new employees providing proactive support
inspiring.
- Provide routine company admin through to central systems including expenses
and vehicle checks on a monthly basis.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:- Full UK Driving License
- Passion and experience of working outdoors and prepared to work in all
- Proven track record in problem solving and being proactive.
- Ability to work on own and manage own time proficiently.
- Exemplary communications when working remotely.
- Willingness to engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Flexible working hours, happy to work weekends, travel and overnight stays
- Some experience in environmental monitoring would be an advantage but not
necessary as full training is provided.
