Are you an organised, friendly, and professional individual with a passion for supporting a busy school environment?

We have an excellent part-time opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic School Admin Assistant who will work alongside the office team providing comprehensive administrative support to the school and act as a central supporting role for staff, students and parents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving queries from parents, children, and members of the public both in person and over the phone, in line with our strict safeguarding procedures and in a professional and friendly manner.

This is a varied role that requires a strong team player who is flexible and highly organised.

Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to learn all aspects of the school office whilst developing your knowledge and skills. It is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach.

You will also assist with general day to day admin tasks which therefore require a good level of IT skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Front of house: act as the first point of contact for visitors and manage telephone and face-to-face inquiries
  • Support student welfare and first aid duties.
  • Communications with parents
  • Managing school calendar
  • Supporting School Finance Officer with HR (and finance?) administration
  • Dealing with orders efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • A professional attitude and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external visitors.
  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a real passion for working within the education environment and helping others
  • Have experienced of SIMS or other MIS systems
  • Have experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Be calm, patient and an appreciation of a sense of humour
  • Be a team player, flexible, listens and is prepared to seek advice and support
  • Have the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
