Job overview
  • To assist and support the PICU Operational Lead Nurse and the Band 7 PICU Procurement & Housekeeper manager in ensuring the delivery of a quality housekeeping service. Achieving the highest possible standard of cleanliness and environment for patients, visitors and staff at all times.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the clinical supervision of an effective and efficient housekeeping service that meets agreed Trust policies, procedures and Housekeeping operational procedures.
  • To liaise with the nursing and housekeeping team regarding the patient’s day, ensuring that work is planned in the most appropriate way to provide a prioritised patient focused and seamless service.
  • To produce a duty roster(Which will be approved by the band 7 Procurement and Housekeeper manager

  • Math’s and English GCSE grade C
Desirable criteria
  • Level 2 qualification in health-related subject

Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge of hygiene, health and safety procedures and staff supervision
  • Experience working with the public
Desirable criteria
  • Experience working in a health care environment
Our current Mental Health Services division may be transferring the provision of its services to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT). Whilst at present you are applying for a position within Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation should you be successful in gaining a position within Mental Health Services, your employment may in the future be transferred over to BSMHFT.
