An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Administrative Assistant.

Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our successful Theatres team. The successful candidate will be based at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. You will be expected to participate in cross site working

We would welcome applications from candidates who do not hold Level 3 Business Administration as this could be offered during employment

Main duties of the job

The role of Adminstration Assistant will be to provide general administrative and clerical support services to the department. Day to day duties will include, typing of correspondence, reports, letters, memos, minutes and other documents as and when required.

The successful candidate will have strong organisational, coordination and administration skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with those at all levels is required as well as self-motivation and great attention to detail.

Proficientcy in the use of Microsoft software and web-based programmes is also desirable as well as good literacy, numerical and keyboard skills and the ability to deal with people of all levels both face-to-face and over the phone
