As an Internal Communications Senior Officer, you will play a pivotal role in a small team. You will support the planning, development and delivery of Lidl GB’s Internal Communications strategy and our annual content plan, including key business announcements, news, and information.From working on multiple communication plans in support of our key strategic goals, projects, and campaigns, to looking after and developing Lidl GB’s core internal communication channels, you’ll take the lead in ensuring our colleagues remain informed, engaged, and proud to work for Lidl.

What you'll do- Play a leading role in the development and delivery of Lidl GB’s Internal Communications strategy.
- Provide expert counsel to stakeholders on Internal Communications, guiding and supporting stakeholders at all levels, including Board level.
- Utilise and develop a variety of new and existing channels, including our Sharepoint intranet, colleague app and digital screens.
- Work with the Team Manager to collaborate with departments and individuals across the business to source and coordinate news and features.
- Produce content for and develop the colleague intranet, mobile app and digital screens.
- Provide direction, support the team, and research new strategies to develop our processes and consistently reach the highest standards of working.
- Develop our reporting mechanisms to deliver back to the business and ensure our approaches are data driven.
- At least 3 years previous experience within internal communications.
- Experience of working with retailers or big brands, and a substantial understanding and knowledge of the retail sector and Lidl’s role within it.
- A proven understanding of core internal communications principles and experience with strategic communications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong project and time management skills, and the ability to work on several projects, campaigns, or events at once, often with tight or moving deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
- Flexible and willing to work, on occasion, outside of normal workings hours to deal with communication deadlines or issues that arise.
- Open minded with a passion to drive continuous improvements and sustainable change.
- Exceptional creative writing skills and a meticulous eye for detail and consistent approach to our brand guideline and tone of voice.
- Experience designing, managing, and developing Internal Communications channels such as events, intranets, podcasts, apps would be very advantageous.
- Strong IT and communication design skills with experience using PPT, InDesign and Adobe Photoshop and Canva. Video production experience is advantageous.
- Ability to gather and review metrics, feedback, and trends to produce reporting for Internal Communications and encourage data driven decisions.
