Job Title: Junior Client Service Associate – Business Operations
Team: Business Operations and Development

Responsible to: Business Operations Manager

Job Purpose:
The Business Operations team is responsible for all operational functions and relationship management for counterparties involved in specific financial transactions. Additionally, the team handles the investment requirements of a major financial entity.

The role also involves contributing to business change implementation affecting team deliverables. Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a valid SC licence and have clearance

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions
  • Process and approve applications in accordance with internal controls and relevant guidelines.
  • Facilitate premature repayments, ensuring timely settlement of funds.
  • Respond to stakeholder queries promptly.
  • Produce reports and statistics for internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.
  • Advise Senior Management and other stakeholders on policy issues.
Deposit Facility
  • Process requests in line with internal controls and relevant notices.
  • Respond to stakeholder queries promptly.
  • Produce reports and statistics for internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.
  • Advise Senior Management and other stakeholders on policy issues.
Investment Management
  • Process requests in line with internal controls and service level agreements.
  • Analyse daily investment activity to ensure target balances are maintained.
  • Produce reports and statistics for internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.
  • Inform senior management of any material activity or information.
Stakeholder Management
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet service requirements, implement process improvements, and monitor issues affecting financial operations.
Relationship Management
  • Meet regularly with counterparties to gather market intelligence, share information, and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Meet annually with investment funds to review service agreements.
General
  • Maintain and update procedures for critical processes.
  • Represent the team at internal governance committee meetings.
  • Provide business continuity for critical business processes.
  • Support the Business Development team in managing specific contracts.
  • Seek process improvements, manage operational risk, and implement business change.
  • Provide analysis and project management for relevant business changes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Delivery-focused with excellent attention to detail.
  • At least one year of client service experience.
  • Effective collaboration and communication with various stakeholders.
  • The ability to identify areas for process improvement; business change experience is desirable.
  • The ability to produce detailed and accurate reports within tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in financial markets is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a valid SC Licence
  • IOC qualification would be advantageous.
