Description

Overall Purpose of Job:

To lead on managing one of the following service areas of the parking operations service: On/Off Street civil enforcement Senior Civil Enforcement Officers, Civil Enforcement Officers, CCTV operatives, or car pound and removal service. To provide staff, mentoring, training and development through one to ones and appraisals, ensuring all sickness and annual leave is managed and processed under the council's policies and procedures.

To support all staff ensuring that they are fully equipped, including the correct PPE, service equipment such as Handheld, Radio, Bodywork camera and printer to enforce at all times and adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do.

Role Purpose

To lead and manage the Car Pound and Vehicle Removal Services within Parking Operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and customer-focused delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership
Oversee all aspects of the car pound and removal service, including vehicle removals, storage, and release processes.
  • Team Management
Lead and support staff responsible for removals and reconciliation of paperwork and payments. Provide mentoring, training, and development through one-to-ones and appraisals.
  • Compliance & Accuracy
Ensure all documentation, payment reconciliation, and enforcement actions comply with Council policies and statutory requirements.
  • Resource Management
Make sure staff are equipped with the correct PPE and operational tools (e.g., handheld devices, radios, body-worn cameras, printers) to perform duties effectively.
  • Performance & Reporting
Monitor service performance, address issues promptly, and produce accurate reports for senior management.
  • Customer Service

Maintain high standards of customer care, ensuring transparency and fairness in all interaction
