Job DescriptionCiti continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a new function in the 1st Line of Defense, to house and consistently manage credit risk activities performed across its Institutional Client Group organization.

ICMs Counterparty Credit Risks objective is to provide integrated "end-to-end" credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit risk across the enterprise. Within ICM, the CCR Underwriting function provides analysis, greenlight, underwriting, first-line-of-defense credit approval and subsequent credit monitoring across all ICG wholesale credit businesses including Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory (BCMA), Global Structured Products, Financings, and Securitizations (GSP-F&S), Treasury & Trade Services (TTS), Markets, and Securities Services (MSS).The Credit Risk Manager will be part of the global CCR underwriting function, spanning various products including subscription call facilities, Fund Financing, FX, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, and structured lending.

Candidate should have experience managing alternative managers like Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Institutional Family Offices.Key Responsibilities:Evaluating transactions risk across the business covering full range of complex productsRole demands excellence in analysis, underwriting, monitoring, and drives global consistency across regionsConduct and take ownership of the Credit Approval Memo process (CAM), generate risk rating and update on an as need basis, perform quality control of the CAM / Risk Rating ScorecardNegotiation of credit structures and documentation, including ISDAs, Derivatives Clearing, Prime Brokerage and Repo documentsStrong knowledge of Derivatives and structured lendingFacilitate relationships with key clients in Banking and RiskClient Relationships / Business Partnership:Proven ability to understand nuances of local markets, local regulation, and the capabilities and practices of competitorsProvides well-reasoned, balanced assessments of risk/return trade-offs associated with transactions and client relationshipsProven track record of partnering with global peers in leveraging and implementation of best practicesKnowledge, skills and experience required:Ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing and product structuresSignificant risk/risk-related counterparty credit work experience in banking/financial institutions with expertise in the alternative investment counterpartiesDemonstrates strong ethics and integrityDynamic, flexible, and with strong communication skillsCan make decisions under pressure and short timelineExcellent verbal & written communication skills.

Active listening skills.Excellent presentation skills - adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies.Qualifications:4+ years in Risk Management covering Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Institutional Family OfficesBachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMasters degree preferred
