What skills and experience we're looking for

Whitelands Park Primary School has a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work in a class or 1:1 basis, supporting children with a varying range of needs. We are ideally looking for someone with a nursery nurse or EYFS qualification but would be willing to appoint someone who is willing to work towards this in the future.

You will be working closely with the SENCo and class teachers to ensure that the children’s needs are met.

The position is available immediately, on a permanent basis.

You will need to:

  • Work either in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Have relevant qualifications and experience in working with children, with possible experience with those with additional educational needs.
  • Be flexible in your approach to the needs of the child.
  • Have high expectations of all children.
  • Be willing to take part in relevant CPD in order to support our children.
  • Expect to assist the teacher and ensure all children are supported to achieve the best they possibly can.
  • Be a flexible, passionate, and enthusiastic individual who thrives to promote a love for learning.
