Job overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who would like to join our exciting team at Imperial College Healthcare Private Care as Band 4 Private Medical Secretary/PA. The postholder will provide a comprehensive, professional and highly efficient private medical secretarial and administration service for two eminent Private Care Consultants.Working independently, to manage and prioritise their workload, liaising closely with the wider administration teams within the department. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and a knowledge of medical terminology are essential.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at St Mary's Hospital. You will be a highly skilled with the drive and vision to keep improving both personally and for the benefit of the service. Working with consultants and their secretaries, departmental colleagues, and other Trust divisions, you will always maintain a professional and effective work ethic while promoting a first-rate customer service.

Main duties of the job

Education/ qualifications
Essential criteria- Educated to at least A Level in English and Mathematics or equivalent in experience.
- Formal Customer Care Training or willingness to undertake AMSPAR or equivalent experience
- NVQ II Customer Care or equivalent
- Previous PA / Medical Secretary experience
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience as a PA or medical secretary
- Microsoft Office experience
- Knowledge of hospital Patient Administration System (PAS)
- Previous experience of dealing with patients appointment and booking system
- Experience of having working relationships with clinicians, GPs, managers, consultants and other clinical staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience working in a Private Healthcare Unit or Trust
