The Global Finance team, led by CFO Steve Wrede, consists of around 280 members worldwide. Aligned with our 2025 strategy for profitable growth, our core functions include billing, statutory accounting, management reporting, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.We operate seamlessly across our global offices, fostering a multicultural and supportive environment.
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team partners with senior management to drive profitable growth and achieve strategic goals. The Financial Analyst role within the Global FP&A team involves performance reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and ad hoc analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with preparing monthly commentary on financial performance and identifying opportunities to add value to management information.
- Supporting the annual global budget process, working with the FP&A and Revenue teams to develop expense and revenue budgets.
- Supporting the production of annual forecasts for the firm, working with the inventory team to ensure regional section inventory is considered and working with the accounting team to ensure that known large costs are accounted for.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly presentations/reports.
- Assisting in the expense analysis process globally, working with local finance managers to ensure costs are posted correctly, and working with the global accounting/operations team to ensure all finance managers are aware of the processes and policies affecting financial reporting.
- Preparing initial profitability reports, e.g., at the client level, and supporting pricing proposals for clients.
- Supporting rate proposals and liaising with the pricing team to ensure the correct production of office rate cards.
- Regularly liaising with finance teams globally as well as shared service centres in Manila and Tampa.
- Analysing large amounts of data and isolating key financial data into structured reports.
- Motivated, deadline-driven individual with a can-do attitude
- Background in financial analysis, ideally obtained within a law or professional services firm
- Critical thinker with the ability to assimilate data and provide commercial insight
- Experience working with Profit and Loss statements and understanding the drivers of a profitable business
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, OFFSET, SUMIF, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to clearly explain and communicate findings and analysis
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and discretion when working with confidential data
- Professional accounting qualification is a plus but not essential

Location and Reporting
This role is based in our London office and reports to the Senior Manager - Financial Reporting & Analysis.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
