The Role
  • Term-Time only, Mon to Friday 8.30-4.00pm
  • Supporting children who display challenging behaviour and have mental health difficulties
  • Promote attendance and support children who struggle socially
  • Implement behaviour strategies that are tailored to individual students
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to create an inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and success
  • Provide curriculum support to students who may be struggling academically
  • Provide emotional support to students who may be experiencing anxiety
You
  • Be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people
  • Previous primary/secondary education experience not required as full training will be provided
  • Knowledge of and an interest in special educational needs
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • MUST hold a valid driving licence - please don't apply for the role if you do not drive
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK - we do not offer sponsorship so please do not apply unless you are able to live and work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
