We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Games/Sports Coach to bring energy, skill, and heart to our thriving sports programme. Our Sports Programme

We believe in breadth and brilliance. Our major team games include:

  • Girls: Netball, Hockey, Football, Cricket
  • Boys: Football, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket

Pupils enjoy three high-quality training sessions per week (in Year bands: 3–4, 5–6, 7–8) and competitive fixtures on Wednesday afternoons and occasional Saturday mornings.

The Role

We are looking for a Games Coach who can lead, motivate and develop pupils—most likely in Years 5 and 6—across a range of seasonal team sports.
  • Coach weekly sessions: Monday & Thursday mornings, Friday afternoons
  • Plan training aligned with the department’s scheme of work and adapt to pupils’ needs and abilities
  • Lead and officiate fixtures on Wednesdays and some Saturdays—home and away
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Sport and colleagues to ensure smooth, inclusive, and enjoyable sporting experiences
  • Contribute to team selection, performance tracking, and pastoral care through sport
  • Provide termly coaching reports
  • Stay current with modern coaching practices and be open to professional development
About You
  • Experience coaching at primary/prep level, ideally in school settings
  • Confident coaching at least one of our core team sports (multi-sport flexibility is a bonus!)
  • Positive, professional, and passionate about helping every pupil thrive
  • Committed to teamwork, pastoral care, and the values of independent prep education
  • Organised, energetic, and enthusiastic about being part of a community that lives and breathes sport
