Accounts Payable Manager
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Manager who would be the first hire in the establishment of a new Shared Service Centre in Liverpool for a high growth, nationwide business.
The Role:
As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will establish and oversee the implementation of all procedures relating to invoice processing, manage supplier queries, ensure timely payments, and deliver accurate period end reporting. You will conduct regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals and provide the necessary support and training to your team, ensuring high performance is maintained.
The Candidate:
We are seeking an accomplished professional in Accounts Payable who combines strong technical knowledge with leadership skills within a Shared Service Centre environment. The preferred candidate will have experience managing large teams and is used to dealing with substantial transaction volumes.You will have good system skills, including Excel, and the ability to identify areas of improvement within payment processes. Immediately available candidates or candidates on shorter notice periods are required for this urgent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage invoice processing and ensure timely payments
- Handle supplier queries effectively and in a timely manner
- Oversee the month-end close process
- Implement and maintain internal controls
- Provide regular team performance reviews
