Job Description
  • Responsible for all day-to-day HR activities.
  • Work closely with local stakeholders, employees, and managers to fully understand HR needs and create targeted people support strategies.
  • Employment law: providing generalist advice for key client teams, ensuring compliance with Employment law, managing complex ER cases, conducting investigations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Support the effective delivery of the talent lifecycle, successional planning and career path mapping across the region.
  • Actively monitor a range of people data and reporting information (absence, performance, engagement), analysing trends to create solutions.
  • Provide support to the wider HR team in the development of the People Strategy. Leading and contributing to business wide people projects.
  • Support and develop key HR strategies to improve the working environment, and maintain/improve KPI performance across the business.
  • Provide excellent level of advice, guidance and support to employees and managers across the full range of ER disciplines.
  • Drive the business values for your region.
  • Provide HR Operational support as necessary to fulfil the role.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Business Partner should have:

  • Ideally a Degree or post-grad qualification in an HR discipline and CIPD qual (or working towards), the successful candidate will be motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong generalist background. You will have a minimum of 3 years experience at a similar level
  • Strong examples in areas such as talent development, talent management, workforce planning, coaching senior leadership/ board level stakeholders, and employee engagement and recognition.
  • Stakeholder management is a critical part of this role; you will create positive relationships with stakeholders through appropriate management of their expectations and agreed objectives. You will be self-reliant with excellent time management skills with a close eye for detail.
  • ER experience in a unionised environment, not essential
  • Multi site experience, essential
  • Self starter with a bias for action, able to respond and adapt to a demanding and dynamic environment
  • Flexible and willing to travel to different locations as and when required
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels and be able to challenge senior leadership team.
