This is an exiting and challenging opportunity to join the clinical leadership for Cheshire's access services; Mental Health Support Teams and Cheshire Mental Health Hub. The post holder will take a specific lead on ensuring oversight of Low Intensity CBT staff and support the development of CBT intervention pathways into community CYPMHS from our Access services.
The post holder alongside another Clinical Leads and other senior roles will contribute to the delivery of Access service development across Cheshire.
We would welcome applicants with experience of leading change and developing innovative services. A strong CBT clinical background is essential and you should have significant experience overseeing supervision. Other skills required would include dynamic communication with a range of stakeholders, ability to lead and complete projects, management of staff and support to those in a managerial/supervisory role.You will have demonstrable experience of quality and service improvement and developing evidence based services. You will draw from your grounded clinical expertise and experience.

Clinical lead and clinical development role with an expanding service.
Clinical assessment and intervention.
Partnership working in order to develop a culture of mental health support and ensure local services have the skills and competencies to support children and young people with their mental health.
Working knowledge of national and local developments, strategies and priorities.
Training and development function internally to the teams, and externally across the children's workforce, ensuring clinical standards are maintained.
Oversight and monitoring of team budgets.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Core profession (Social Care, Nursing, Allied Health Professional and Clinical Psychologists) or Recognised degree level broad based health & social care qualification which will require completion of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Knowledge and Skills Attributes https://www.babcp.com/Accre ditation/CBP/KSA.aspx
- Professional registration with recognised National body (HCPC, NMC, BACP, BABCP, BASW, TRA)
- Evidence of studying to Masters level or similar in a relevant subject to the role
- Educated to degree level or equivalent clinical and leadership experience.
- Leadership module/ Certificate/qualification.
- Evidence of service clinical development, clinical quality improvement projects.
- Evidence of strong leadership skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Additional training in children’s mental health therapies
- Certificate/qualification in leadership (e.g. Mary Seacole)
- Certificate/qualification in CYP IAPT
- Certificate/qualification in Quality Improvement (e.g. Aqua)
- At least 5 years experience in children and young people’s mental health services (experience whilst training can be added)
- Post Grad Certificate or above in CBT Supervision (CYP-IAPT)
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential criteria- Highly specialised knowledge and expertise in supporting CYP with mental health difficulties.
- Advanced knowledge of key policy drivers advancing the clinical practice of CYP services.
- Up to date and advanced knowledge of relevant legislation and quality framework associated with the clinical speciality.
- Knowledge and experience of leading in the application of safeguarding procedures, and goal focussed interventions.
- Knowledge and experience of developing networks with other organisations providing services to people with mental health difficulties and understanding how these complement services the NHS provides.
- Knowledge and experience of planning & developing services.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Knowledge and experience of developing partnerships with schools.
- Knowledge and experience of developing clinical performance and understanding management procedures

Experience
Essential criteria- At least 5 years experience of working with children and young people in a mental health setting.
- Experience in leading change.
- Direct experience and expertise of working with CYP with mental health difficulties.
- Direct experience of teaching, training, supervision and providing consultancy to people at all levels (agency staff; professionals; carers; service users).
- Experience of multi professional leadership of teams or services within the designated speciality
