Marine Refrigeration Engineer
During downtime between projects, you will support the Project Manager, which may involve working at our Somerset-based workshop. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, and surveying of various marine refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
When not on projects, you will be based at the Taunton office, developing products or providing training in refrigeration and air conditioning to our clients. The role will require significant travel, both within the UK and internationally, with trips ranging from a few days to several weeks.
The ideal candidate will have extensive chiller experience and a strong ability to troubleshoot all types of marine refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. Additionally, you may be required to teach HVACR principles to clients at various locations worldwide.
Working hours – Monday to Friday, day shift; overtime paid for weekend work and over 8 hour per day
Pay - £50,000.00 per year
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, service, and maintenance on industrial/marine and offshore refrigeration, air conditioning, and process equipment, diagnosing electrical and mechanical system issues.
- Work closely with clients to ensure high-quality service and identify future business opportunities.
- Provide detailed technical reports on work completed and ensure timely submission of timesheets for invoicing purposes.
- Deliver high standards of refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation services, ensuring safe handling of refrigerants and optimizing plant efficiency.
- Liaise directly with customers to address issues and provide solutions.
- Assist with product development and client training in refrigeration and air conditioning systems as required.
