Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will include:
- Support a team of purchase ledger clerks, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Maintain supplier relationships, addressing any queries or issues.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of payment processes.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider Accounting & Finance team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
- Previous experience looking after the end-to-end Accounts Payable process.
- Full Purchase to Pay knowledge.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- A commitment to ethical conduct and maintaining confidentiality.
- A competitive salary in the range of £28,000 - £32,000 annually.
