FORKLIFT DRIVER - Counterbalance

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a Forklift Driver/Warehouse operative with counterbalance license to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is accurately logged, stored, and maintained.

• Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload pallets of goods using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Inventory Management: Log all pallets into and out of the storage area using predefined paperwork and handheld scanners.
• Storage Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage areas, adhering to housekeeping standards.
• Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack items as required, ensuring attention to detail in order fulfilment.
• Off-loading: Assist with off-loading shipping containers, including ramp and loose-filled items.
• Communication: Liaise with the Storage Supervisor regarding pallet deliveries and collections.
• Stock Control Support: Aid in stock control duties as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Self-Motivation: Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative.
• Additional Duties: Support the Storage Manager with various tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

• Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations is essential; familiarity with racked and bulk-stacked warehouses is highly desirable.
• Forklift Driving: Must have forklift driving experience; with a valid Counterbalance license.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is critical, as checking inventory accuracy is a major part of this role.
• Physical Fitness: This position is physically demanding; candidates should possess a degree of fitness to handle the requirements of the role.
• Strong work ethic: Being part of a team dedicated to achieving goals and working effectively together.
• Must have own transport - Location is not reachable via public transport
