Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and passionate person to work as a commis chef sandwich. Making high end seasonal sandwiches for our clients. Working alongside our hospitality head chef creating sandwiches for our hospitality offer. The successful candidate will ideally have previous catering background or have made sandwiches in a similar busy facility.You would be required to work alone the majority of the time so will need to be organised and self-sufficient. Ordering, stock management and working in a clean and allergen safe manner are also key for this job role. You will be working in beautiful state of the art kitchens with a friendly and motivated team.
Hours are 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday. There is also paid overtime at 1.5 x hourly rate should this be something that you are interested in but this is optional.
Within this role there is room to develop and progress and learn new skills and progress as a chef within the kitchen.
Qualifications- Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or display a real passion for food
- Knowledge of some cooking techniques and cuisines
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Works according to the BaxterStorey core values
