Job Description:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized support to students with special educational needs, both in and outside the classroom.
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalized learning strategies.
- Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to create a nurturing and accessible learning environment.
- Encouraging positive social interactions and fostering students’ self-confidence and independence.
- Supporting students with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and physical or emotional challenges.
- Promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of strategies and approaches for supporting diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with children.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
