About the role
As a Service Manager – Operations, you'll lead a team responsible for the performance, stability, and improvement of key business applications across 12 European markets. These span Supply Chain, Field Services, People, and Compliance functions.
You'll ensure technical and operational excellence, support efficient business processes, and drive service optimisation. The role blends technical leadership, process ownership, and team management – requiring both strategic thinking and a practical approach.
You’ll be a trusted partner to business teams, helping to streamline operations while meeting local needs. You’ll also support and coach colleagues to grow and succeed.
Please note this role will require some travel within the EU , all travel plans will be communicated with advance notice.
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership- Lead, support, and develop a high-performing Operations team.
- Set clear goals and development plans aligned to both individual growth and business priorities.
- Balance team workload and adapt to changing demands.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
- Ensure availability, performance, and resilience of Operations applications.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues and ensure resolution and learning.
- Oversee incident, change, and release processes in line with service standards.
- Monitor and report on SLAs, KPIs, and service quality.
- Deliver improvements and transformation through technical services, operational stability, and cost-effective vendor support.
- Review system usage and vendor performance to optimise costs.
- Maintain clear SOPs and governance for key processes.
- Build strong relationships with business units, tech teams, and external partners.
- Clearly communicate priorities and progress.
- Oversee third-party providers to ensure quality delivery.
- Ensure systems meet security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Manage risks and maintain continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Understanding of supply chain, construction/maintenance, and field services processes
- Experience managing applications across functions and markets to deliver business outcomes
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management, business process design, and ITIL
