Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Pharmacy Technician with acute ward experience to join our dynamic team in Ipswich on a long-term locum contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician looking to make a significant impact in a well-established healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Assisting in the dispensary and participating in ward rounds.
• Managing and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
• Providing expert advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervising and training junior pharmacy staff.

Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Previous experience in a Band 6 role or equivalent.
• Acute ward experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
