City & Hackney CAMHS are excited to be recruiting to a full-time post as a Specialist Clinician for the Mental Health in Schools Support Team. We have two posts:
x1 Permanat and x1WTE Fix-Term post.
The role will help to develop and deliver a wide range of interventions, projects and system change. We aim to deliver whole school and whole community approaches to supporting young people’s mental health.The post holder will supervise trainee and qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) trainees.
In addition to providing comprehensive consultation, assessment, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties in special school settings, thepost-holder will clinically and operationally lead a diverse range of professionals who will work in a range of primary and secondary schools across the borough.
We are looking for a confident CAMHS professional with a demonstrable track record of providing good quality evidence based interventions, improving service quality with a strong interest in service development. You will be either a Nurse, Social Worker, OT, Psychotherapist, Family Therapist or Psychologist with the requisite professional registration.The community served is multi-ethnic and culturally diverse and we welcome applicants who are skilled at working with the richness and complexity of our multicultural context.
